More than 2,500 persons, including many distinguished public officials, tonight paid honor to Dr. Martin Buber, internationally known philosopher, scholar and author, on the eve of his return to Israel.
The event, sponsored by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, was the climax of a six-month visit to America by the 74-year-old scholar during which he spoke before large audiences at universities and other centers of learning throughout the country.
