Joseph H. Cohen, a retired Long Island businessman, today donated $25,000 to the Kennedy Memorial Fellowships at the Weizmann Institute of Science at Rehovot, Israel. The American Committee for the Weizmann Institute has established 46 annual research fellowships at the Institute in Rehovot in the name of the late President Kennedy–one fellowship for each year of Mr. Kennedy’s life.
In accepting Mr. Cohen’s contribution, Joseph Brainin, executive vice-president of the American Committee, said that all funds to be raised at the organization’s annual dinner, next February 6, will go toward a $5,000,000 endowment fund set up to insure the permanence of the Kennedy Fellowships. The event in February will be addressed by President Johnson.
