Twenty-six ORT schools and workshops will open soon in Israel, it was announced here today by Dr. A, Syngalowski, chairman of the World ORT Union executive committee, at the first country-wide plenary meeting held here.
An ORT schoolhouse has already been made available, Dr. Syngalowski reported, and classes will begin as soon as “tens of tons of equipment” arrive from abroad. He also revealed that the ORT had signed an agreement with Youth Aliyah on the establishment of ORT trade schools for newly-arriving young immigrants in Jerusalem, Kfar Chassidim, Kfar Vitkin and Magdiel.
