Some 26,000 visitors from Arab countries have entered the West Bank since June 1 under the summer visits program, it was reported today. Beginning in Nov. the visitors program will be extended the year round.
Palestinian terrorist groups, claiming that the summer program was playing into Israel’s hands, have urged the Arab League to try to discourage people from crossing the bridges, Jordan, however, is opposed on grounds that this would tend to cut off the West Bank from Jordan.
