A total of 267 recreational facilities at Army camps, isolated military barracks and Naval stations, air bases, Coast Guard bases and Army hospitals in 29 states and the District of Columbia were furnished, decorated and equipped by B’nai B’rith during the year ending March 15, as part of its national war service program, it was announced here today by Henry Monsky, president of B’nai B’rith and chairman of its national war service committee.
Included in these were five day rooms for Negro troops and one for the WAACS, In addition, the B’nai B’rith in Canada has equipped 29 recreational huts and clubs for members of the British Empire forces stationed in the Dominion. The 267 recreational facilities in the United States include company, squadron and battalion day rooms, lounges, game and card rooms, libraries, canteens, induction centers, chapels, and hospital solaria and sun rooms.
