The four-day 26th annual national convention of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America opened here today to adopt an annual budget for its program of work in Israel, to set organizational policy and to elect officers. On the eve of the convention’s opening, it received a message of greeting from President Truman, in whose honor the organization has planted the Harry S. Truman Forest in Israel. James G. McDonald, first American Ambassador to Israel and chairman of the advisory council of the State of Israel Bond Drive, was the featured speaker at tonight’s public session.
