A total of 276 professional persons immigrated to Israel from Western countries last year with the help and guidance of the Jewish Agency’s Professional and Technical Workers Aliya (PATWA), it was announced here today.
Of this total, 100 came from Great Britain, 70 from the United States, 55 from Latin America and 51 from other countries. Among the new arrivals, the largest number were teachers, engineers and physicians.
