Word that Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Levy of this city, and Mrs. Levy’s uncle, Rabbi Moses Eckstein, who were reported in the Italian earthquake zone yesterday, are safe in Naples, was received here this morning by Mrs. Carrie Simon, mother of Mrs. Levy and Samuel M. Levy, father of Mr. Levy.
The cablegrams, which arrived fifteen minutes apart, said that the tourists are uninjured and intend to sail for home tomorrow. Other Philadelphians in the earthquake area not yet heard from include Harold Goldman, Gustav G. Amsterdam and Edward Speirs, students of the University of Pennsylvania, and Barnett Glickler.
