Three American ships can make stops at Tel Aviv to pick up American for return to the United States at “the discretion of their masters,” the Maritime Commission said today.

All American vessels now in the Mediterranean have been authorized to complete their scheduled voyages before leaving the area, which yesterday was barred to American shipping as a belligerent zone.

The three vessels which have scheduled stops at Palestine are all cargo ships of the American Export Line which also carry passengers. They are the Exermont and Exchange, now in the Black Sea, and the Exmoor which is headed from Greece towards Black Sea ports with a possible stop at Palestine.
