A three-year course in Hebrew, Jewish History, Bible, Religion and Literature will be given at the newly-organized College for Jewish Teachers commencing October 10 at the Community House of Congregation Emanu-El, 1 East 65th Street. Diplomas entitling holders to teach in religious schools will be awarded graduates.
The curriculum, texts and administrative faculties of Hebrew Union College School for Teachers, which for two years has been closed, will be taken over by the new college. Sessions will be held in the evening between October 10 and February 1, when the spring semester will open. High school graduates are to be admitted as matriculated students. Application should be made on Monday, September 25, at the Community House offices. Members of the College Board include Rabbi William Schwartz, chairman; Rabbi Solomon A. Fineberg, Rabbi J. B. Pollack, Rabbi William Rosenblum, Rabbi Jacob Rudin, Dr. Max L. Schallek, Dr. S. S. Tedesche and Benjamin Veit.
