Approximately 300 Jews are imprisoned in concentration camps in Iraq, a spokesman for the Jewish Agency reported here today. He said that about 125, 000 Iraq Jews arrived in Israel during the last two years. Approximately 10, 000 Jews are still in Iraq, he estimated.
(In New York, police were alerted today by an anonymous warning that a bomb had been planed in the Iraqi Consulate here to explode at 9:18 A. M. in retaliation for the hanging of two Jewish youths in Baghdad. Letters containing similar warnings were received by New York newspapers. The letter was signed “Magen Haam,” an organization the existence of which is not known in this country. No explosion occurred at the Consulate.)
