The B’nai B’rith Vocational Service reported today that there were at least 3,000 unfilled positions currently in the American rabbinate and Jewish community work.
Dr. S.N. Feingold, director, stressed that many of the positions pay $10,000 a year and more. He said that the expanding number of community centers and synagogues has created a growing shortage of trained personnel.
