Official statistics published here today revealed that 30,774 Jews in Hungary have been converted to other religions in the last 20 years, while 4,211 non-Jews have embraced Judaism in the same period. Most of the Jewish conversions were recorded between the years 1934 and 1938, under the influence of the anti-Jewish laws in Nazi Germany.
