Some 30,000 Jews who came here from Rumania have signed a petition to be presented to the Rumanian Government protesting the arrest of Rumanian Zionists reported last week to have been detained in a wave of raids against Jews, particularly Zionists.
The petition demanded the release of all Jews arrested in these raids and asked that they be permitted to migrate to Israel. It also expressed anxiety over the fate of the incarcerated Jews about whom nothing more has been heard here.
