Leader Criticizes Defeatist Spirit In Zionist Ranks (Jewish Daily Bulletin)

A quota of $300,000 for this year was adopted at the Ohio Regional conference of the United Palestine Appeal held at the Commodore Petty Hotel here yesterday.

Rabbi Barnett A Brickher of Cleveland was re-elected president of the state organization. The vice-presidents chosen were: Harry Levinson Toledo; Max ## Darwin Luntz, Can## Berman, Cincinnati; Benjamin Duberstein Dayton; Max Bogatin. Columbus and Oscar Alus## Nathan Engelman was elected secretary and Jacob Gusman treasurer.

The creation of a ## committee to develop a program of cultural ## was a feature of the conference.

In his address Mr. Lipsky made an attack on the attitude of those who seek to hamper the endeavors of the United Palestine Appeal.
