Thirty-one Nationalist went on trial in District Court here today on charges of participating in anti-Jewish disorders in the town of Czyczew last Jan. 5. All pleaded not guilty.

The defendants refused to answer questions by Jewish lawyers. The court rejected a proposal of defense counsel that Jewish victims of the disturbances not be allowed to enter civil claims.

Police who testified told of being compelled to take stringent measures to halt the disorders. They identified all the accused as having been active in carrying on agitation for an anti-Jewish boycott.
