The Jewish Immigrant Aid Society of Canada met 41 boats which arrived at the ports of Halifax and Quebee during the month of July according to the Society’s report. These boats brought 15,352 immigrants of whom 333 were Jews.
The Jewish immigrants were destined to provinces as follows: Quebec 104, Ontario 144, New Brunswick 5, Manitoba 46, Saskatchewan 23, British Columbia 7, Alberta 3 and Nova Scotia 1.
There were two detentions. They were later admitted through the intervention of the legal aid department of the Society.
