The 1960 Montreal Joint Campaign for the Combined Jewish Appeal and United Israel Appeal raised a grand total of $3,350,045, according to a report by Arthur Pascal, general chairman.
He told 500 campaign workers and supporters that the sum was the largest ever raised in an annual campaign since the Joint Campaign was started in Montreal in 1951 and the largest amount ever raised in one campaign by any Canadian Jewish community. The total was an increase of nearly $171,000 over the results in 1959.
