Thirty-four graduates of the four schools of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America received diplomas and certificates today at the 61st annual commencement exercises of the seminary.
In addition honorary degrees were conferred upon Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick, noted Protestant clergyman and teacher; Dr. Bernhard Geiger, visiting professor of Indo-Iranian Philology at Columbia University’s Near and Middle East Institute; and the Louis Ginzburg Award was given to Prof. Ezekiel Kutscher, visiting associate professor of Hebrew Language and Philology, and Prof,. Abraham Schreiber, research fellow in Rabbinics at the Seminary.
