Dr. Mordecai M. Kaplan, dean of the Teachers Institute and professor of homiletics at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, was guest of honor Sunday night at a dinner at the Hotel Victoria of the Alumni Association of the Teachers Institute in celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Teachers Institute. About 350 alumni and friends of the Teachers Institute gathered to do honor to the Teachers Institute and to Dr. Kaplan.
Sol M. Stroock, chairman of the board of directors of the Seminary, and Dr. Samson Benderly, director of the Bureau of Jewish Education, spoke in praise of Dr. Kaplan’s service to American Jewry during the past twenty-five years.
