Thirty-nine young Americans and Canadians left for Israel yesterday to spend a year at a kibbutz under the Sherut La’am(national volunteer service) program sponsored here by the American Zionist Youth Foundation. According to the organization, the youngsters, aged 18-27, will serve at Kibbutz Shoval in the northern Negev. Another group is scheduled to depart Sept. 30 for service at Kibbutz Misgav Am.
