A campaign to raise $390,000 for this city’s Jewish religious schools will be launched next month by the Board of Jewish Education of Chicago, it was announced today by Frank G. Marshall, president of the board.
Marshall pointed out that the B.J.E. has served the Jewish community of Chicago for the past 25 years and at present supervises 74 schools with an enrollment of over 15,000 students. The board also conducts the only teacher-training program in the midwest, Marshall said.
The Intercollegiate Zionist Federation of America announced that it will hold its annual seminar at the University of Chicago the week-end of February 28-29, with representatives of 24 midwest colleges attending.
