Four Arab youths were slightly wounded in a scuffle with Israeli border policemen near Rachels Tomb at the entrance to Bethlehem yesterday. According to official sources, they were hit by richochetting bullets fired into the air by the police.
The incident occurred at a police roadblockswhere a bus carrying Arab youths was halted for a security check. The youngsters protested what they claimed was “rough treatment” by the police. Military sources claimed some of the bus passengers attacked the policemen at which their commander ordered them to fire into the air and then at the ground. Several youths were detained for questioning.
