Four district groups of the National Union of War Veterans were dissolved by the union’s national executive committee today for indulging in what was described as “propaganda friendly to Jews.” Writing in the newspaper Esti Kurir, former Secretary of State Wagner, leader of one of the dissolved groups, declared that the action was illegal since only the Interior Minister had the right to dissolve branches of the union. Dr. Wagner, who recently addressed an open letter to Premier Paul Teleki demanding full rights for Jewish war veterans, asserted that front fighters who defended the interests of all war veterans without religious distinctions would not be influenced by threats.
