Four Israeli soldiers were wounded when a bomb exploded yesterday on a roadside near Bazuriya village, six kilometers east of Tyre in south Lebanon. Two Katyusha rockets fired from Lebanon at the Upper Galilee panhandle last night fell short of their mark and exploded inside Lebanon.
An Israel Defense Force patrol found two craters formed by 107 mm. Katyusha rockets just across the border from Kibbutz Misgav Am. A military spokesman said the rockets were the type used by the Palestine Liberation Organization.
A man who aimed a hand-held missile launcher at an IDF patrol in the center of Sidon yesterday was shot to death by a soldier of the South Lebanese Army. The Israel-backed SLA is now conducting joint patrols with the IDF in Sidon. The SLA recently acquired several command cars to widen the scope of its operations.
