The Jews in Poland, who comprise ten per cent of the entire population, will have in the new Polish parliament not more than four seats, it is predicted today by the press.
The entire number of seats in the next Polish Parliament will be 220, as compared with the 440 of the present Parliament. Of this number, only sixty-seven seats will go to the opposition, it is predicted. Thus the parliament will be practically entirely under government control.
The four seats which, according to today’s predictions, will be given to the Jews, is less than half the number held by Jewish deputies in the present parliament, At present there are nine Jewish deputies in the Polish Sejm, the majority of whom were elected directly on Jewish lists
