400 Jewish Groups at AJC Conference

More than four hundred Jewish organizations will participate in the American Jewish Congress conference Sunday morning at the Edison Hotel, 228 West 47th street, it was announced yesterday.

The conference will discuss many important questions concerning Jewry in the United States. The opening address will be delivered by Bernard S. Deutsch, president of the American Jewish Congress.

Among others who will speak are Dr. Chaim Greenberg; Dr. Karl Vorenberg, who will report on an economic survey of Jewish Life in the United States; Dr. Joseph Tenenbaum, chairman of the American Jewish Congress Boycott Committee, who will speak on the counter-boycott; Professor Jerome Michael, who will discuss Congress Anti-Nazi activities.

Dr. Samuel Margoshes will deliver an address on the World Jewish Congress; Louis Segal will speak on democratic elections for the American Jewish Congress, and Nathan D. Perlman will discuss the relation of Jewish organizations to the American Jewish Congress.

Mrs. Stephen S. Wise will speak on the work of the Women’s Association, Dr. Benjamin Jablons on the work of the Physician’s Division and Emanuel H. Sonnenreich on the Youth Division.

Addresses will also be delivered by Abraham Goldberg, Rabbi Wolf Gold and Leo Wolfson. The concluding address of the day will be given by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, honorary president of the American Jewish Congress.
