Arrival at Haifa of an Allied steamer bearing 400 refugee Britons, Poles, Czechs, German Jews and Yugoslavia from Greece was reported today by Reuters, British news agency.
The steamer was part of a large British convoy which was unsuccessfully attacked from the air five times. Escorting destroyers reportedly shot down one of the raiders.
