Polish newspapers reported today that 4,000 Jews emigrated from Danzig in the past week, having previously disposed of all their property to “Aryans.” The exodus, according to the press accounts, was spurred by the intensified anti-Jewish campaign in the Free City, based on Chancellor Hitler’s personal instructions. The papers express regret at the adverse effect of the campaign on Polish economy, since enterprises owned by Polish Jews have been taken over by Germans.
