Four thousand laborers, including more than 1,000 German prisoners of war, are working feverishly to prepare five big camps on Cyprus for visaless Jewish immigrants, it was reported today from Nicosia.
In addition the workers must prepare barracks for the troops guarding the internees. In an attempt to complete the task by February, the British authorities have commandeered trucks from all parts of the island for the transportation of workers and building materials.
