More than 40,000 men and women in the armed services, including many Americans, have been entertained by the Jewish Institute in Glasgow since the outbreak of the war, it was reported here today.
The British Council of Churches dispatched a memorandum to the Federal Council of Churches in America stating that “no world settlement which does not give reasonable security and freedom to religious minorities, especially to the Jewish people, can claim that it has succeeded.” The substance of the memorandum will be incorporated in a symposium being prepared by the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ.
