James G. McDonald, League of Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, reported yesterday in conversations with the press, following his return from the Reich, that 25,000 victims of the Nazi scourge have been taken care of but 40,000 continue homeless.Six million dollars has been collected in the last seventeen months, Mr. McDonald said, adding that the rise of nationalistic sentiment in many countries is hindering the settlement of refugees.
Activities are severely cramped, he asserted, by lack of money.
