The American Christian Committee for Refugees has sent out an appeal to 100,000 clergymen throughout the nation for a Christmas fund of $400,000 to relieve Christian victims of oppression in Germany. The appeal is signed by more than a hundred Christian religious and lay leaders.
“The number of Christian refugees is not yet so large as to prove a serious burden upon Christians in the United States,” it says, “The response of the Jews in America to the needs of their German brethren sets a heroic example for us to follow.”
