A record number of forty-four students, most of whom are Jewish, are engaged in honors work at the College of the City of New York, according to Dean Morton Gottschall. Two of the group, David Weiss and Emil Koehler, are the first in the history of the college to pursue third-year honors.
The honors system enables specially capable students to pursue intensive specialized work under the guidance of selected instructors.
