Isidor Coons, national campaign director of the United Jewish Appeal, revealed Friday that 440 communities in the United States are sharing in raising the $3,250,000 quota for rehabilitation of European Jews.
Statistics compiled by Mr. Coons showed that smaller communities have responded with greater generosity than in any year since 1930. The number of individual donors has also increased substantially, he said.
