The Times reported today from Jerusalem that five Jewish Communists were arrested in Tel Aviv for attempting to stage a demonstration at the funeral of a Jewish lineman killed in an Arab ambuscade Sunday.
The despatch added that another Communist was arrested for reporting in a pamphlet that Emir Abdullah, Arab ruler of Transjordan, had written to High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope guaranteeing immediate cessation of violence on condition of an amnesty to Arab leader held in the concentration camp at Sarafand, the staying of actions against prisoners other then murderers and stoppage of Jewish immigration.
