Five more Iraqi Jews–a woman and four men–were recently arrested in Iraq according to reports reaching student organizations here. According to student spokesmen, the latest arrests indicate a new wave of persecution directed against Iraq’s remaining small Jewish community. Ten Jews were arrested in Baghdad last fall and according to reports still unconfirmed by the Baghdad government, some or all of them may have been executed recently.
