About 500 Jewish immigrants arrived in Mexico during the past three months, according to information received here by the headquarters of the Independent Order B’nai Brith from their representative in Mexico City.
Jewish immigration into Mexico is in general increasing. Economic conditions, however, are not improving and work is scarce, according to the report. The Independent Order B’nai Brith has leased a new building in Mexico City which is now being fitted out to carry on immigration aid work in Mexico. Mr. J.L. Weinberger is in charge of the work in Mexico.
