Five hundred Jewish orphans, between the age of six and fifteen, today embarked on two British vessels at Famagusta, Cyprus, for their return to Palestine, it was reported in a dispatch from the island. The children are part of a group of 985 who are being permitted to enter Palestine outside the regular monthly immigration quota.
(The national board of Hadassah today cabled from New York a special contribution of $250,000 to Jerusalem for the care of the 985 children expected to arrive in Palestine shortly.)
