An average of 5,000 Jewish infiltrates from Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe, including many pregnant women, children and aged persons, have been arriving in the American zone of occupation monthly, and accommodating them has become an acute problem for the Army, it was reported today by Leon W. Schwartz, deputy director for the Joint Distribution Committee in the U.S. zone.
