Dr. Abraham Lightstone has donated $5,000 to the American Jewish Physicians’ Committee of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, according to an announcement Saturday by Dr. Nathan Ratnoff, director of Beth Israel Hospital and chairman of the committee. The fund, which is established by Dr. Lightstone in memory of his wife, will be known as “The Dorothy Lightstone Memorial Research Fund,” the income of which is to go to the Micro-Biological Institute of the Hebrew University.
Dr. Ratnoff also announced that the American Jewish Physicians’ Committee had again accepted the budget of $25,000 for the support of the Institute of Micro-Biology at the Hebrew University during the present academic year.
