More than 5,000 persons jammed a large hall here and overflowed into the streets in Argentine Jewry’s memorial to the martyrs of the Warsaw Ghetto and the six million Jews who died during the Nazi regime and World War II.
Present at the meeting, organized by the DAIA, Argentine Jewry’s central representative organization, were: Israel Ambassador A. Kubovi, Hirsch Triwaks, DAIA secretary, and Dr. Abraham Mibashan, DAIA co-chairman. The Ambassador, in an address, stressed the historic significance of the sufferings of Jewry under the Nazi heel.
