Fifty thousand Jews, forming twenty-five percent of the Jewish population of Vienna are on the lists of Jewish charity institutions for assistance, it is revealed by the Jewish Community.

The general economic crisis, coupled with anti-Semitic boycott agitation is responsible for this large percentage of impoverishment.

The Jewish Community has issued an appeal for subscriptions to its winter relief fund, which has been taken up by the Jewish and non-Jewish press.
