The sum of $50,000 was raised for the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities on Sunday evening at the eighth annual dinner held at the Hotel St. George.
Plates at the dinner cost $50. Messages of felicitation were received from President-elect Franklin D. Roosevelt and Governor-elect Herbert H. Lehman.
Addresses were delivered by Supreme Court Justice Mitchell May, president of the Federation, and Arnold M. Schmidt, chairman of the dinner committee. Rabbi Sidney S. Tedesche and Henry Halpern pronounced the benedictions.
