More than 50, 000 youth participated in career conferences conducted by B’nai B’rith Vocational Service during the past year, it was reported here today. There were 175 such conferences in 30 cities, Milton Berger of Philadelphia, BBVS national chairman, stated.
The value of career conferences was pointed up in a comprehensive study of college and career plans among Jewish youth, Mr. Berger said. The study, jointly conducted by BBVS and B’nai B’rith Women, showed that 45 percent of those who had attended a career conference were, to some degree, influenced by it in selecting occupational careers.
