The Federation of Jewish Communities of Yugoslavia has announced that it will observe its 50th anniversary next Oct. 7-8 with special ceremonies including the opening of a new Jewish historical museum, a symposium and publication of a commemorative volume. The Federation said it planned to invite representatives of Jewish organizations abroad and members of Yugoslavian organizations. There are 7,000 Jews in the country.
