A contribution of $550,000 for the construction of a new, two-story Jewish community center in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn has been donated by the Henry Kaufman Foundation. The center will be named after the late Henry Kaufman, who was one of the founders of the Kaufman Department Store in Pittsburgh.
