Five hundred fifty-five Jewish refugees from DP camps in Germany and Austria landed here yesterday aboard the Marine Perch. They were the sixth group of immigrants to arrive under President Truman’s directive and the third group brought here on the Marine Perch.
The arrivals were met at the pier by relatives and by representatives of the National Refugee Service and the National Council of Jewish Women. The passage for most of the refugees was arranged by the JDC and HIAS.
