Fifty-eight Jewish refugees from Germany and Austria who were taken off the Italian liner Conte di Savoia by a French battleship and interned at Algiers have been given permission to proceed to the United States, where their families have already arrived, according to word received today by HIAS from the HIAS-ICA Emigration Association in Paris, which intervened in their behalf.
