A 58-man delegation from the Los Angeles Jewish community is spending the High Holy Days here, and will be received by President Itzhak Ben Zvi. The group is the first “Caravan to Israel” delegation sent here by an organized Jewish community, and represents 400 organizations in Los Angeles.
Arriving at Lydda Airport, the delegation was given an official reception by representatives of the Israel Foreign Office, the Jewish Agency and the United Jewish Appeal. The group will tour Israel this week, spending 18 days visiting many parts of the country.
